Galerie Privée 2024
This year, Galerie Privée will be showing an outdoor installation and an exhibition of works by Michel Pfister.
‘One of the strengths of Pfister's works is that their radiant – literally palpable – presence is able to intensify the existing spatial situation. The inherent power of the objects interacts with the space to create an exciting atmosphere. Michel Pfister's interventions virtually preserve the history of the location and continue it on a non-verbal, sensual level.’ - Ginia Holdener. Over the past few days, Michel Pfister has created a site-specific installation in the park and gardens. The sculpture made of curved wooden strips moulded in water breaks up the grid of precisely placed olive trees. The colouring with egg tempera and mostly local earth pigments picks up on the colourfulness of the surroundings. The wiry, quasi-eternally grown olive trees are contrasted with the sweeping movement of the sculpture.
